Pope John Paul II High School defeated Harriton High School (Montgomery County) during the AAA state championship game on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Penn State University’s Lubrano Park. The game ended just after midnight following a series of rain delays.

Prior to the game a Mass was held for the team, coaches, parents and faculty who had traveled to Penn State. In addition to the Mass, the team was treated to a trip to Harrisburg where they were given a tour of the capital and received a surprise telephone call from former Philadelphia Phillies catcher, Darren Daulton.

In November, the 2013-2014 Pope John Paul II baseball team, including Class of 2014 graduates, will be honored by the Pope John Paul II school community with a formal celebration.
