Four Archdiocesan Elementary Schools Receive Donated “Sackpacks” From Office Depot Foundation

The independent, non-profit, Office Depot Foundation donated approximately 400 sackpacks to Archdiocesan elementary schools as part of their National Backpack Program on Monday, August 25th.

This year students from Our Lady of Port Richmond Regional Catholic School, Saint Athanasius Parish Elementary School, Saint Charles Borromeo Parish Elementary School and Holy Innocents Area Catholic Elementary School in Philadelphia received sackpacks containing essential school supplies at an Office Depot Foundation Back-to-School Celebration.

Director of Elementary Educational Services, Ms. Judy Sweeney and approximately 20 student representatives were presented with sackpacks at the event. The 2014-2015 academic year begins on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 for students who attend the 122 elementary schools, 17 high schools and four schools of special education of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
