Job Description

Mother Teresa Catholic School is currently accepting applications for a part-time Pre-Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting lead teacher in planning, designing and implementing curriculum
  • Assisting students with carrying out classroom activities
  • Assisting students during lunch time
  • Implementing age appropriate activities and monitoring safety throughout
  • Communicating progress and observations to parents
  • Maintaining student records and performing other clerical tasks
  • Help in maintaining a clean and organized classroom
  • Ensuring sanitation of all surfaces, equipment and toys
  • Assisting students in social skills development
  • Accompanying young students to the bathroom
  • Taking attendance and making copies of tests
  • Assisting in checking work
  • Maintaining appropriate classroom discipline and decorum
  • Preparing and distributing worksheets
  • General duties to help with activities and assemblies
